Painted after a week in Sicilly, during late March, where despite the unstoppable, cold and gloomy rain that made me feel naked on the empty streets, I picked oranges for the first time, straight from the rivers of orange trees that flooded every corner. We danced in an empty piazza in Ortigia, I ate the most delicious caponata of my life and I feld hugged by something so scented and mysterious that almost makes me want to go back again in an eerie March, when Sicilly is not that bright and bubbly, but it is still so unforgettable.
