NUNTĂ ÎN CER / wool + silk scarf
Availability: Out Of Stock
"On Dragobete (February 24th), birds choose their partners for life and come together to build their nests. These are known as <betrothals in heaven> and it is believed that if you see a newly pair of love birds, you will always be adored."
Inspired by the Romanian custom that marks the rebirth of the nature after a long winter and my love for magic and folklore retold in today’s language, this NUNTĂ ÎN CER scarf is the gesture that celebrates love in a contemporary way, yet deeply rooted in the purity of a world that sometimes feels unworldly. Bearing the first buds of spring, four birds as red as the fire in our hearts contrast with the cloud-like background of the scarf, reminding us of the magic of such a powerful celebration for Romanian people.
Reminding us of who we were, created for who we are.
size: 140x140 cm
composition: 70% wool + 30% silk
fringed borders
made in Italy
It’s a scarf long enough to wrap around your neck over a cosy coat, yet delicate enough to throw on your shoulders over an elegant, light dress. The proportions of wool and silk are carefully balanced to result in a fluid and light, but still protective accessory.
